Everyone seems to be looking for love. However, few find it because love is considered rare.
To love is to surrender, lose oneself and submit to or merge into the other unconditionally. As a consequence, we usually lose our individuality.
Lovers tend to get excited but are usually unhappy. This is because whenever we try to be someone or something else, we get stressed and become disoriented.
Then we have friendship. Only a few of us realise that friendship is even rarer than love.
This is because friendship means accepting the other unconditionally. A mark of a friend is someone who allows us to be ourselves.
'True love' is a combination of love and friendship. We surrender and become part of the other while remaining ourselves without losing our individuality.
If you have found friendship, you are lucky; if you have found true love then you are even more fortunate. If you have not yet found them I wish you Good Luck.
