Politics is often an attempt to achieve power and prestige without merit. This is most visible in dynastic politics.

I thought the caste system was formally abolished a long time ago.

Regional parties have as high as 67% and national parties as high as 15% of their representatives in parliament who are from political dynasties.

With rights conferred by birth rather than than earned by merit. is it not a political caste system?
